Anoushka Shankar Anoushka Shankar, an Indian-born British American singer and musician is best known for her musical talents. She won the British House of Commons' Shield, which is the youngest and also the first female recipient. In addition to receiving nine Grammy nominations She was also the first musician of Indian origin to present at and perform at the award ceremony. Anoushka Sitar Shankar is the Indian young sitar star. She is a student as well as daughter of the famous Ravi Shankar. Born in London in 1982, and began her life by hopping back and forth between London as well as New Delhi. In New Delhi, she made her debut at just thirteen years old. When she moved to Encinitas CA in 1999 she received a high-school degree. Anouskha is yet to be a mature woman however she's got an amazing career in music and performance. Since quite some time, she performs regularly alongside her father. In 1998, she debuted her debut single album Anourag. While still at her teens, Anoushka performed at Carnegie Hall in Peter Gabriel's WOMAD concert. To honor her position as a leading musician of Asian Arts, she was awarded the House of Commons Shield by British parliament.
